Sally's Cat House
Okay, back to the tour.  This is our first ever attempt at cat tower building, necessary to support both connecting ramps, below.  Hint:  This is easier put together WITHOUT cats on it!
The upper shelf continues across the enclosure . . .
. . . and attaches to a shelf on the front wall (8').
The top of the tower supports and connects to the highest shelf in the enclosure (11') mounted on the back wall.
Though admittedly an amateur effort, our five-year-old tortie, Little Shorty, thinks we did a fine job on her tower!  Born a barn kitty, Shorty spent the first three years of her life caged at a no-kill shelter before we found her up for adoption at a local pet shop.  When questioned about why she had not been adopted in three years, we learned about Shorty's low stress tolerance, predisposition to illness when in stressful situations, and recurrent illness with each pet shop adoption attempt.  We were also told that most people preferred short haired cats and that most did not think that Shorty was very pretty.  Little did they know, Shorty's temperament and zest for life would make her the most beautiful cat of all.
